Michael Shane Perry
Founder/Chairman/CEO, Luminoz
Previous to founding his own optical plastics company in 1999, Michael spent many years putting together the
team and knowledge base that would evolve into Luminoz. His professional experience and skills results in his
having led the financing, sales, marketing and production departments of Luminoz. Mr. Perry has over 15 years
experience in international business, speaks fluent Japanese, and received his education from Brigham Young
University, Cal. State Northridge, and UCLA.
Kenji Yoshida
Chief Operating Officer
Founder, Luminoz Japan
Mr. Yoshida has developed key relationships with leading manufacturers, engineers, and financial institutions
throughout Asia. Mr. Yoshida graduated from Hokkaido University after studying abroad at Arizona State University
in 1994. He began his management career at a large Japanese firm, where his functions included planning and management
of marketing, expanding sales channels, manufacturing, importing, R&D and finance. Mr. Yoshida focuses on the operations
and OEM business development for Luminoz worldwide. Expansion into the LCD films and rear projection enclosure markets
have been among his key contributions to Luminoz.
Komei Kashiwagi
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Kashiwagi was previously CFO of HuBit Genomix, a biotech venture company in Japan. Previously, he worked as Manager
for 4 years at the Corporate Finance & Strategy Dept. of Sony Headquarters in Tokyo, and spent 10 years at Investment
Banking Dept. of J.P. Morgan in Tokyo and New York as Vice President. Mr. Kashiwagi received an MA and BA from the Faculty
of Mechanical Engineering Science, Tokyo Institute of Technology. He is a Chartered Member of Securities Analyst Association
of Japan.
Dr. Terence A. Cooper
Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Terence A. Cooper has responsibility for planning and managing new product and process research and development programs.
He was formerly a Research Associate with E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Company in Delaware where he worked from 1968-84 with
elastomers, adhesives, sealants, coatings and thermoplastics. From 1984 until 1992 he was Manager of Adhesives & Sealants R&D,
Manager of New Polymers R&D, and Manager of Worldwide Styrene Quality at Arco Chemical Company in Pennsylvania. Since 1992 he
has been CEO of ARGO Group International, a consulting firm specializing in polymer science and new product and market
development. He holds a D. Phil. degree in Chemistry from Oxford University and an M.B.A. from Drexel University.
